But nobody said that we also couldn't play along. Why not try to secure some of these grants which would otherwise go to not fruitfull churches but fruity churches and distribute these funds to missions or missionaries who are currently being neglected. The truly Confessional Pastor's and Churches in our Synod are not striving for 'unity' which is seen but for 'audibility' simply trying to be heard. Jesus told the parable of the Shrewd steward to make the point for us also to be clever and insightful with our money for the Kingdom of Heaven. This gives us an opportunity. It seems all that is needed to secure such grants are pieces or paper with cleverly written descriptions of our intentions. Districts and Synod are giving out grants to churches but for what. They refuse to look at us, and they refuse to let us speak........ In our Synod the proper foundational teachings behind such words as Lutheran, Confessional, or even Christian now are 'Innovative'.
